SC Water-Based Single-Pass Series
The SC Water-Based Series brings single-pass productivity to porous packaging stocks — corrugated cartons, kraft paper bags, paperboard and similar materials. Each model uses an HP A3 printbar with Sunthinks’ own electronics, colour engine and belt transport, delivering sharp type, smooth gradients and consistent colour at industrial speeds. Variable-data (text, barcodes, QR) is native, so late-stage personalisation is simple.
Under the hood you’ll find a negative-pressure continuous ink system for stable jetting, a patented vacuum belt with automatic deviation correction for steady media guidance, and water-based pigment or dye inks for low odour, recyclable outputs. Resolutions reach up to 1200 × 1200 dpi with speed modes of 20/30/40 m/min to suit different jobs.
Typical applications include branded shipping boxes, colour gift boxes, retail carry bags and food packaging — all printed directly to porous substrates without plates. (See the application panel in the series brochure.)
Step up to a 600 mm print width for larger artworks and dual-up layouts. The SC600 keeps the same HP A3 printbar, automatic feeder and deviation-corrected belt, with 30 m/min speed, up to 1200 × 1200 dpi, 1,600 mm max feed width and 80 mm print height. A compact SC600 mini layout is also shown in the brochure for tighter spaces.
For broader jobs and multi-SKU panels, the SC900 offers 900 mm print width with the same water-based platform. Key call-outs: 30 m/min, up to 1200 × 1200 dpi, 2,000 mm max feed width and 80 mm print height; automatic feeder and optimised ink circulation minimise clogging on long runs.
